Edge Computing

Edge Computing is a distributed computing paradigm that brings computation and data storage closer to the location where it is needed, rather than relying solely on a centralized data center that may be located far away. This approach minimizes latency, reduces bandwidth usage, and enhances the performance of applications by processing data near the source of generation, such as IoT devices, sensors, and edge servers. By handling data processing at the “edge” of the network, organizations can achieve faster response times, improve real-time data analysis, and streamline operations, particularly in use cases like autonomous vehicles, smart cities, and remote monitoring systems. Edge Computing is especially beneficial in scenarios where bandwidth is limited or where immediate data processing is critical.
