Hidrógeno líquido

Liquid hydrogen is the liquid state of hydrogen, which occurs at extremely low temperatures (below -253°C or -423°F) under standard atmospheric pressure. It is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless substance that is notably used as a cryogenic fuel in space exploration, particularly in rocket propulsion systems. The energy density of liquid hydrogen is high, making it an efficient fuel source. In addition to its use in aerospace applications, liquid hydrogen is also explored for use in fuel cells and as a potential clean energy carrier in the transition to more sustainable energy systems. It exists at a density of about 70.85 grams per liter, significantly lower than that of many other fuels, which can influence storage and handling requirements. Liquid hydrogen must be kept at very low temperatures to remain in a liquid state, necessitating specialized vacuum-insulated containers for storage and transportation.
